Kudos to Arch Bishop Burke

Many people do not understand how I can be a libertarian and a conserative Christian. It is not always easy to walk both worlds and I often find myself at odds with friends both in the church and within my libertarian circles.
To really grasp this one must understand that I openlly support Liberty and freedom. I believe that all freedom and liberty in existience are found in the Word of God. I find that it is my goal to always work to bring freedom and liberty to the people I encounter in my life. I want to do my part to bring this both physically, politically, and spiritually.

Which brings us to this article about John Kerry fromTIME.com As a libertarian I should support Kerry's stand against the church in a political forum sighting the liberty and freedom of the mother. However the truth is that we must be concerned not only with the freedom and liberty of the mother, but as a Christian, Mr. Kerry and all others should see that we must also be supportive of the freedom of that child. Mr. Kerry needs to heed his 'grave and clear obligation to oppose any law that attacks human life. For them, as for every Catholic, it is impossible to promote such laws or to vote for them.'

I support St. Louis Archbishop Raymond Burke warning him 'not to present himself for Communion' as long as he continues to care only for his policies and campaign, rather than showing concern for the freedom of these unborn children.
