Last night on was on Wineskins Magazine site and I found an ad for the Lead Minister Opening at the Troy Church of Christ in Troy, MI.
The ad is awesome, and I feel more Churches need to embrace the energy and exuberance this church seems to have in their minister search.

The person we prayerfully seek, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, should be a Gifted Speaker who inspires the church to reach today’s Post-Modern culture for Christ communicating the Eternal Truth of Scripture in Prophetic and Relevant ways to the Un-churched. This says, we are not looking for a person who meets the corporate profile our commitee has decided to assemble. This says, we are open to the Holy Spirit's leading and we are prepared to do AWESOME things for the kingdom of God. Now myself, that is the kind of Church I want to preach for.
I am not applying for the position, since I am not looking for a job, but it is definitely a church I would want on my list if I was.

Wow, I didn't even know there WAS a Troy C of C! We used to live near there, now live downriver of Detroit. Another super-cool CoC up this way is Rochester Church of Christ, where Patrick Mead preaches.
