Have yet to find a philosophical somewhere I am content to call home. The closest I get to a creed these days is a quote by John Green. "Whether I believe in God isn’t really relevant. I do believe however tenuously in Mercy" Due to a lot of personal reasons encountered along this journey, I have mostly stepped away from writing for now. Still, sometimes something stirs me and I need space to hash out my thoughts. So welcome to my little space along the journey.

Church Retreat At Fallhall Glenn
We went the the Family Retreat with Cardinal Drive at Wisconsin Christian Youth Camp this weekend. It was great retreat and Christi and I were honored to meet and spend time with Damen and Melody Parker, the guest speaker at the retreat. Damen is minister at New Life Church of Christ, an inner city church plant in Abilene, Texas. We share some of the same passions and goals about the missional church.

Kevin! That's my camp!!! I grew up attending camp there every summer from the age of 10 to 18 when I left for York. (I'm from LaCrosse.) THAT was my tie to the Christian world in a not-so-christian family. And Cardinal Drive??? I dated a couple of guys from there. (Don't ask!)
The swinging beds upstairs in the lodge, Merry Breezes (the cabin next to the lodge), the wagon wheel swings, the sound of Robinson Creek rushing by, being voted "Miss WCYC" by my fellow campers my senior year, stealing the bell from the bell tower, o.k., maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that last one. LOL Oh the memories that were made on that hill!
One of my favorite pictures of Kevin Lewis I took while we were at Fallhall Glen for a York retreat. You have no idea the can of worms you just opened up in my memory banks!
Glad you had a good time!
I just found you via the Next Blog button on blogger. I saw your Separate and Apart blurb, and knew you HAD to be a COCer. Hello from Michigan!
