Why Does The RNC Like Kid Rock?

It is a simple question. A year ago the man descrated an American Flag to be worn as a "shirt" at the Super bowl halftime show. This was on screen for a good 3 minutes and no FCC charges were brought against him. Then in August, he performs at all place the RNC convention. That was disgusting! To top off the whole offense he is now performing at the inauguration. GROSS.

This is a man who used to let Anna Nichole fondel herself on stage at his feet while he performed for an arena of teenagers. I am outraged at the stupidity of the RNC to validate his carrer with an invitation to perform at these events.

2:00 Up With Anna

Well it is almost 2:00 AM and I am up with a sick Anna. The doctor put her on everybody's favorite stimulant Albuterol.

She does not want to be awake any more than I do, since it us that yuvky drugged up awake you get from the combination of being physically exhausted and mentally alert from the effects of the drugs.
If I am up in an hour I will write more.

A Great Coloring Page Site

This site has some great coloring pages for preschool. It is all free and all you have to do is look at an ad! Small price to pay for coloring pages.

Speaking of coloring pages, you might be wondering why I have a post about a coloring page in the middle of a workday. Well Anna is sick and Christi has taken her to the doctor so I am caring for Ella in my office at work. So coloring pages are a great thing.

Mozilla Thunderbird w/ GNU PGP

A few days ago Christi began having problems with her Webmail account. I wanted to get a good mail reader for her, and I have NEVER been impressed with OE. So I decided to try out Thunderbird from the good people over at Mozilla.
I downloaded installed and took a look and liked what I saw. It was VERY impressive for a free competitor to OE.

A few days passed and we began a MS Exchane trial at work. This trial took over my outlook and disabled my abilty to check my email at my other sites kotees.com, and drkaos.com. Knowing that I could not live my life with onoy 1 email address, I decided to download and trial Thunderbird for myself.

My analysis is 3.75 Stars. Here are 4 reasons why I think anyone using POP mail should move to Thunderbird.

1. Built In Junk Mail Filter - Intelligent engine, automatic whitelist of known addresses, very effective.

2. Message Filters - Move certain messages to certain folders automatically upon arrival. I am subscribed to several newsgroups, I put these messages in a newsgroup folder that allows me to read them when I have time, and keeps them from clogging my inbox. This option is where thunderbird lost 1/8 of a point for not allowing me to forward certain messages to my cell phone. Outlook has this ability.

3. GNU PG - PGP is an important tool. I believe that identity proof is a crucial item in todays world of spoofs and hoaxes. This tool allows for everyone to add the security of their unique identity to every email. Friends don't let friends email w/o PGP and GNU PG makes that available for free.

4. MS-Outlook Import - I have an exstensive Outlook history going back over 3 years worth of saved messages. All of my messages and folders moved over with ease and integrity. I did not use the address book function, but I assume it works just as well.

The other 1/8 point Thunderbird lost in my opinion came from the fact that there is no calender. Although I still have that option in my Exchane hijacked Outlook, if this was my only email client I would feel very inadequete without that functionality. They do get points for the fact that it is available as a plugin called Sunbird from the Mozilla site. It is in the EARLY beta stages and stabilty is probably questionable. I have not tried it yet.

Hebrews 3 & 4

In my ongoing study of the book of Hebrews, I have decided that further evidence for Barnabas as the author is the fact that it is written in CLASSICAL GREEK not KOINE GREEK like the rest of the New Testament. This signifies it was written by a Rich person. Take the wealth of the author and the Pauline theology and you have a sure mix for Barnabas.

I wanted to go ahead an update the resources that are available online for this study. We are currently on chapter 4 so here are the resources up to that point.

The Letter A Coloring Pages

Well we have started Ella's Preschool Stuff. Since I am going to be making coloring pages, Matching Games, and other Education related things I figured I try and post them all so that if anyone else wanted to use them they could download and make use.

The first post is a collection of 10 Letter A Coloring Pages

JOURNEY OF MANKIND - The Peopling of the World

Steven Oppenhemimer explains in the "JOURNEY OF MANKIND - The Peopling of the World" how all of mankind comes from 1 family who splits and migrates in three distinct directions to form all civilization on earth.
In analysis such as this it is always important to seperate HARD SCIENCE from subjective science. DNA analysis is hard science. Dating is subjective science since anything over about 12K years is dated using this circular dating reasoning that is simply a matter of faith in evolution.

Anyway what I think is amazing is that DNA points to a 1 family geneolgy of mankind which is much more inline with the Biblical account of creation rather than Darwinian Evolution.

FCC - A Moment of Civil Liberty Understanding

CNET News.com is quoting Michael Powell, Chairman of the FCC as saying, "I think it's a dangerous thing to start talking about extending government oversight of content to other media just to level the playing field," yesterday at the Consumer Elctronics Show in Las Vegas.
Go, Mr. Powell, I hope you are truly begining to understand that it is the FCC's job to regulate bandwidth not content. We should let parents be parents and government agencies be as SMALL as possibile.
I don't trust any tyranical government agency, but at least the rhetoric sounds right for now!

My House

A picture of My_House.jpg from the Terra Server with additions by me, since you will notice the push pin is a 1/2 block off!

My Response to Dr. Williams at Townhall.com

Dr. Williams,

Thank you for your amazing analysis of the founders basis for government in a republican form of Government. I agree whole heartedly that this nation was intended to be a republic.

Now before, I give my opinion let me say that I am just a young man and student of history who lacks the experience and education that you bring after your many years as a spokesman for liberty.

However I belive that you are wrong to refer to the current state of our nation as a republic since Mr. Lincoln and his followers stole that vision and by giving the federal government the ability to prevent secession.

This can be evidenced by exploring the admendments passed in the wake of the Civil War. (ended 1865)

14th Amendment (1866)– Eliminated property ownership as a responsibility of voters and based voting on age alone.
15th Amendment (1869) – Centralized citizenship from a state responsibility to a national responsibility.
16th Amendment (1909) – Centralized ability of national government to levy taxes on all sources of income.
17th Amendment (1912) – Election of senators transfer from State Legislator to general population

These are not admendments passed to protect a republic of states, instead it was a short path to a national democracy. Within 50 years power had been transfered from the individuals to the centralized national authority.

I believe that Mr. Lincoln was working within the spirirt of the Declaration of Independence when he gave emmancapated the slaves. However the spirirt he created by mandating membership of the individual states in the national union by force, should be seen as the moment where we ceased to be a republic and instead became a democracy.

Please address how we should continue to view ourselves as a republic inlight of these admendments, and our current state of political power?

What Kind of Elitist are You?

HASH(0x8a6af08)

Upon the urging of my brother's Blog, I decided to discover my true elitist self... As you can see I arrived at the conclusion of being a Food / Wine enthusiast. I probably knew this since I picked out the All-Clad Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set from Williams-Sonoma as theChrstmas present from the wonderful cash gift from Christi's parents.

However Politics and Culture Guru was second on my list by changing a few answers I was undecided on.

Sending The Wrong Message

Pat Oliphant - Jan 5, 2005
Pat Oliphant - the liberal idiot that he is, misses the point of tragedy. It is not the role of the U.S. government to take fiscal responsibilty for every tragedy that occurs on earth. He argues in his usual idiotic fashion that we are out of line to send ONLY $350 million federal dollars. I say that our government is out of line to send even a $1 of aid that has been obtained through coersion. (All federal dollars earned through income taxes are obtained by coercion) It is not the responsibilty to ensure that the food, water, and medical needs of these tragically destroyed areas are attended to.

I do believe it is the responsibility of all Americans to give some from our PERSONAL WEALTH to help as we deem appropriate. We live in such comfort and convience and I hope that many Americans will WILLINGLY and FREELY give to those who have been displaced by this tragedy. I will not personally be giving to this tragedy since I have decided that the tragic slaughter and displacement of Christians in Dafur is a more neccesitated region of my support. This tragedy, which has resulted in nearly 1.8 million deaths is virtually ignored by the mainstream media, but it is at least if not more tragic than the loss of 150 Thousand spread over much of Asia.

No matter what your inclination. My summary to all Americans is I hope we can please give out of our freedom rather than out of political oppression.
