ABC News: The Emerging Church
When I first discovered the Emerging church 6 months ago I thought I have to get out of my church and into one of these. In the months since then I have decided to continue worship at my current church and be an influence for missional ideas within the the institutional structure I have grown up in.
The people at ABC, in the typical vain of sensational journalism, seem to feel this will be impossible with an impedending war between the two ecclesiolgies. I certainly hope that the power of the love of God can avoid this confrontation.
I have found the "pearl of great price" in missional living.

thanks for sharing it. I too am still in my church trying to be an influence from the inside...some days I am encouraged, somedays I am frustrated, sometimes I'm seen as a troublemaker or a bit of a rebel. I don't like that label. I'm not sure what I'll do when the frustration continuously outweighs the encouraging....
I feel almost identical to you. There are days it is so frustrating I want to walk away... Then there are glimpses like the response I got from my sermon Sunday, where still yesterday people were calling on the phone to say how much they related to and were impacted by the message.
I know that if people are impacted by these messages, then things are changing.
